KURAI INK

About the artist

Studied fine art in Montreal. Printmaking and illustration. Spent two years drawing before picking up a machine.

Moved to Hamilton and opened a private studio. One chair. One client at a time. That hasn’t changed.

The focus is Japanese traditional work and large-scale illustrative pieces. Sleeves, backpieces, and anything that needs room to breathe. Small work isn’t the right fit for this studio.

Every tattoo starts with a conversation about placement, body shape, and movement. Skin isn’t flat. It stretches, folds, and curves. A design that ignores anatomy won’t age well. The drawing has to work with the body, not against it.

Every piece is designed for the body it lives on.
